Priorities

We spend a lot of time taking all three of our children to a variety of doctors. Sometimes it is hard to prioritize which child and which need is most important for the day. Each doctor we go to focuses on his specialty whether it is the eyes, ears, mind, etc. That doctor believes his area is essential and therefore should be the highest priority. But as a parent I have to decide which comes first: Josh’s ear tubes, his visual issues, Ashley’s potential immune problems, Hailey’s allergy and asthma issues, etc. I want to give my utmost time and attention to each child and each medical issue, but someone and something has to come first on the list and something has to come last. We have tried to keep everything going by just juggling children, doctors, appointments, and procedures, hoping and praying that in the end, we have three healthy and successful children, who know we did the best we could.
