A Weekend Away

Getting rest away from your child with special needs is very important, and often hard to get. Jason and I have our 2^nd annual “camp week” coming up in July. All the kids go to special needs camp, and we get to rest and reconnect. But 6 days does not always get us through the rest of the year. I think we have finally learned to escape when we need it, but that means one of us has to stay behind to care for the kids. This weekend is my turn to escape, and I am so excited. I am going away with 5 friends for some much needed fun and rest. I feel a little bad leaving Jason behind in the trenches, but I know I will come back feeling so much better than I have for the last few weeks.
