Josh just completed his first theatrical experience. He got a little, non-speaking role in our community performance of Annie Jr. I have never had any desire to be on stage, and neither has my husband. But we thought acting might be something Josh would enjoy and wanted him to try it. I believe it is important for every child to find their niche. As parents it is easy to expose our children to the things we enjoy, and forget that our children may have different interests. For this reason we have let our children try many different activities, so they can choose for themselves what they would like to pursue further. Unfortunately all these activities, keep us busier than I would like at times. But it is always fun to find something they really enjoy and are successful at doing. Hailey still looks so happy every time she jumps in the water to swim. And Josh certainly looked delighted to be on stage. At the end of the last performance, he asked when he could tryout for the next play. It is certainly worth my time and energy to see the delight in my children’s faces as they find something they love to do.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
