I think at one point I was pretty easy to embarrass. But my children have changed all of that. What some people may find mortifying hardly is noticed in our family. We have had many truly humiliating experiences throughout the years. Here is a list of our top most embarrassing Ashley moments as a family.
- When Ashley took her swimsuit off at the public pool on opening day.
- When Ashley had an accident and then took her clothes off at a wrestling tournament.
- When Ashley took her clothes off at the park.
- When Ashley left our house and walked into a neighbor’s house naked.
Do you see a common theme? Obviously, Ashley does not enjoy clothes very much and can take them off really quickly. Hailey has said, “I don’t care what she does out in public, as long as she
does not take her clothes off.” For the most part we have this under control, but every now and then it happens. I guess since she can’t talk and we are really used to meltdowns, it is the only way she really can humiliate us. The same cannot be said for Josh. He never takes his clothes off in public, but he can talk. Embarrassing Josh moments are a whole different subject and they all revolve around something he has said or a public meltdown. Nothing is scarier for us then when someone gives him a microphone. One nice thing for us is since Hailey lives with Josh and Ashley, she doesn’t think Jason and I are the slightest bit embarrassing, and I think we may be able to hold on to that all the way through her teenage years.
