So for at least the last month Ashley has been going to sleep about 10 or 11 at night, and then waking up between 1 and 3 in the morning. Then, of course, she is up for the day. We had a couple of morning she slept until 4:00. This is an unacceptable amount of sleep for all of us, and we are exhausted. We took her to the pediatrician, and had him check her ears - no issues. Then we went to the psychiatrist, and tried sleep medication, adjusting her meds, trying new meds, nothing worked. Finally, I noticed that some of her symptoms that indicate her vaginal infection is out of control, seemed to be more severe than usual. I say more severe because the symptoms and the infection have never completely disappeared. We can't keep her on antibiotics forever, because then she gets a yeast infection. So we just have to treat the infection a while, and then give her body a break. Anyway the gynecologist agreed to put her back on the antibiotic without an exam. After 1 day of the treatment, she slept 8 hours straight! Are you kidding me? How can something so simple be so complicated to get figured out, and then permanently fixed. Poor Ashley! If only she could tell us what is going on with her body, or if she could ever catch a break. Hopefully, the sleep will hold. I don't think I have ever been so excited to sleep 7 hours!
